Snorkeling as an attraction activity has been around for a long time. Over the years I'm sure you have been snorkeling before with one company or another. When Stuart Cove's decided to begin offering our Snorkel Bahamas adventures, our goal was to create a program that didn't exist anywhere else.

At Snorkel Bahamas, our snorkeling adventure differs from other programs in these distinct ways:

• Our snorkel adventures are dedicated programs. Snorkelers are not mixed with divers on the same boat.
• Our snorkel adventures are not "booze cruise" party boats. Our snorkel program evolved out of the worlds most popular dive resort, and we treat our snorkeler's with the same care and professionalism.
• Our snorkel adventures take you to two different locations.  Using the vast array of locations on the southwest side of New Providence, our captains can choose from shallow reefs, underwater movie sets, and multiple shipwrecks.
• Our snorkel adventures have a kicker - if the weather permits, and you have the nerve - we try to finish each snorkel adventure with a "shark snorkel" as a 3rd - bonus location.
  
  
  

Using the cruise industry as a baseline, shore excursion managers estimate that 40% to 60% of their passengers join a snorkel experience on each sailing. Combine that with research from the dive industry that indicates 50% of the population is interested in trying SCUBA diving and I believe that we can safely assume those numbers will hold for guests traveling to land based Caribbean beach destinations as well.

Our snorkel excursion has a rack price of $40 per person.  At a 20% commission, you are earning $7 per person. One million land based guests a year create a potential commission pool of $4,000,000 and we all know that there are more than a million people a year visiting The Bahamas.
